  • On 22-Jan-2012, I had posted a comment on Leslie Ann Pineda’s uploaded video;
You know where did I hear this song the first time?(it starts at 7:49 on your uploaded video) On a JOB FAIR! It was performed by TONI of CHIRO Band and since her voice is SHAKIRA’s trademark voice(Waka-Waka Africa), it will definitely give Jason MRaz a “run for his money”!

I’m Yours by Jason Mraz (song lyrics and guitar chords/tab)

    (G,D,Em,C) (Capo 4th Fret)

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you’re so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cries, now I’m trying to get back

Before the cool done run out, I’ll be giving it my bestest
And nothing’s going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it’s again my turn to win some or learn some

But I won’t hesitate no more, no more
    It cannot wait, I’m yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you’re free
Look into your heart and you’ll find love love love love

Listen to the music of the moment people, dance and sing
    We’re just one big family
And it’s our God-forsaken right to be loved loved loved loved loved

So I won’t hesitate no more, no more
    It cannot wait, I’m sure
There’s no need to complicate, our time is short
This is our fate, I’m yours

D-d-do do you, but do you, d-d-do
But do you want to come on
    Scooch on over closer dear
So I can nibble your ear

I’ve been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and I laughed

I guess what I’ll be saying is there ain’t no better reason
To rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons
It’s what we aim to do, our name is our virtue

But I won’t hesitate no more, no more
    It cannot wait, I’m yours

Come on and open up your mind and see like me
    (I won’t hesitate)
Open up your plans and damn you’re free
    (No more, no more)
Look into your heart and you’ll find that the sky is yours
    (It cannot wait, I’m sure)

So please don’t, there’s no need
    (There’s no need to complicate)
    There’s no need to complicate
    (Our time is short)
    ‘Cause our time is short
    (This is our fate)
This is, this is, this is our fate
    I’m yours

    Oh, I’m yours
    Oh, I’m yours
Oh, whoa, baby you believe I’m yours
You best believe, best believe I’m yours

After having been to several job fairs in the past, I was customized (accustomed, an old LOL…get it!) into knowing what to expect in it. I realize that it is a good source of gathering specifically to display your wares and cruise. Of course, there is always that tendency to be earnest in getting …

  • I WAS ROBBED! It was a terrible night Thursday(last night) when two young boys(aged about 13 and 15) robbed me of belongings at knife-point. They took my wallet( with 520 pesos cash), 2 coin purses(for coins and keys), 20 unused LOADEXTREME Cards, QCPL Library Card, and other personal belongings including a broken Cherry Mobile QWERTY Q3 Cellphone, watch(no bracelet) and other paraphernalias. The incident was reported at QUEZON CITY HALL Police Service Station. The robbers
are apparently from the corner of North Avenue and Quezon Memorial Circle Elliptical Road(area locally called PALANAS).

George Palaganas This was the third time the incident happened to me in this area of the circle(Ninoy Aquino Wildlife Parks) and it’s the first time for me to report it since the 20 LOADXTREME cards have a service ticket(#575244) at and I am still waiting for their response.

I’ve got another blotter this morning, but with Barangay SOCORRO Station(next to Camp Aguinaldo Gate via SANTOLAN). Since I went on my regular “scrap gathering” on the area, I was told to move business on other Barangays. This station has the uncanny way of setting me on investigation(since I was meeting with a “business associate”(Richard Hecks aka Mark) every dawntime in this Barangay. I appeared on their blotter more than 10 times on this stance without them filing any charges against me, do you believe that?

  • On 26-Jan-2012, George Palaganas, as manilascooltalk made the following comments at YOUTUBE on the 24-Jan-2012 SOTU of US President Barrack Obama at!

“I was searching for the recorded President Barrack Obama speech where the first or initial word on the speech is BE but in this one, the first word is LAST.

At 17:13, Jackie Bray eeriely resembles former First Lady Jacky O! And interestingly enough, even the

greatest American President as an orator, President Barrack Obama, did a derivative of JFK’s famous

speech excerpts, that became also a famous quotation,”Ask not what your country can do for you but ask

what you can do for your country.” @swan142 If you will only open your eyes, color is beyond skin deep

and you will realize it’s all white beneath!

Today is the day, at Westminster Abbey

Bells on the altar, maidens in a row
lips are entwined, not excessive, not slow
for this day is yours and tomorrow can show
bright and shining with all splendor in tow.

Maze of sirloin in sumptous cacophony
as the dances begin, in glorious symphony
banquet of delight after a solemn ceremony
with perfect cadence and enjoined ignonimy.

Caress in apayance, in jolly parlance
thou has believed in merriment and quaintesence
the moment has arrived, lo in compliance
today is the day, so smile in variance.

Hearts that bestow gifts of kindness
thou has commitment uphold in primness
in glorified sensations, beat all cautiousness
today is the day, confirms your highness.

Light thy path, in life’s road ahead
with each other and not instead
for in the eyes of the world and into each other
today is the day, at Westminster Abbey.

    On A Park Called Stanley
    On A Park Called Stanley
by George C. Palaganas a.k.a. Cool Dela Peña
    The gallows of refreshing idleness
    sleepy parchments, locquacious and evergreen
    minks,racoons and squirrels, ostensibly responsive
    impeccably bewitched and stalked.
Men of silence, peace and tranquility
    rested astuteness in crabbing omnipotence
    embrace walkways in refined rectitude
learn to kill time in savored perfection.
    Trees immesurably divine
conquers the breeze from a land afar
    yellow,red and magenta on fall
    but definitely refoliages comes springtime.
Mammoth fishes spans for a show
lives on an aquarium, all in aglow
    whistles,catcalls and earnest soar
combines refinements, lurks in a row.
    Biker lanes surreptitiously marked
next to spaces for trekkers of miles
    dances atuned to revelry row
    ever indignant, ever decried.
Chances upon me , oh decripitly slow
on yachts around it, converges on cow
linger on and around the peninsula
    with colorful sails succinctly bequested.
Half of the road and half of the scions
raise their minicas all for the damed
cups of lapiz lazuli before stone arts
crumble not for the day entwines.
    Men of silence,peace and tranquility
hoist their graces in picnic fancy
for all through the day, a caviared piety
in certainty, on a park called Stanley.

    99 Cents Pizza
    99 Cents Pizza
by George C. Palaganas a.k.a. Cool Dela Peña
A hop on the corner, embarking on enthusiasm
and find a pizza the size of a large china
a looney for the pizza man, another for a soda
all praise and promptnessfor an exact change to finish.
A stare on the wall, a glance on the coins
in a romantically lit shop, the eagerness replies
a fork on one hand, a table knife on another
commune with the wall graffitis and murmurs from the next table.
Approach came as a frenchman in this self-serve watering hole
the wave of a slip in exchange of a bill
discreet and with reverence, a lone some refill
empathy demands the highest on the seams.
Recovery is late on the cheezes and pepperoni
for it vanished at the speed decreed for transfer tickets
a penny on the change made me realize
I had a 99 cents pizza that’s easy on my pocket.
