I'd like to backup files from one of my Linux servers, but I know that there are sometimes user files that have been added in soem folder that have duplicate filenames if case is not considered. i.e. REPORT.TXT and report.txt.

Thanks!

Subject: Re: Is the filesystem on DriveSpace case-sensitive on file and foldernames?

DriveHQ file system can keep file name cases, but the file system itself is case insensitive. This means you can have a file named as report.txt or Report.txt or Report.TXT, but you cannot have two files named like those.

We have found that most users (average users / consumers) like file names to be case insensitive, but they do like to keep file name cases. So that's how our file system is designed.
