Hi we are trying to login to the ftp server from the linux console, but this is what we get:

[root@ITI ~]# ftp ftp.drivehq.com
Connected to ftp.drivehq.com.
220 Welcome to the most popular FTP hosting service! Save on hardware, software, hosting and admin. Share files/folders with read-write permission. Visit http://www.drivehq.com/ftp/;

After this there is a pause, it doesn't prompt for a username or a password.

Isn't there any way to login and upload the files from linux console.

Is there any limitation to number of connects for a paid user?

Our service works fine on Linux. Please make sure you don't have any anti-virus / security software or firewall / router that blocks DriveHQ FTP service.

You can also try to install FileZilla on Linux and see if it works fine or not.

 Thanks for your post.

Currently there does not seem to be anything on our end or related with your free account that should be effecting your FTP connection. Please check your network connection and also try with a different FTP clients to verify it is not related with the software being used. If you have continued difficulties, please email support@drivehq.com so we can help troubleshoot more comprehensively.

Thank You,
DriveHQ Support

 I also got the same error when I try to use FTPES with filezilla configuration 'Require explicit FTP over TLS'.

But It works fine for ftp with 'Only use plain text(insecure)' and ftps with 'Require implicit FTP over TLS'

We just tested, it works fine without any issues. If you still cannot get it working, please email us the detailed FTP log. Send it to DriveHQ support.

We tested it on multiple Windows and Mac computers and cannot duplicate your problem. The problem is unlikely to be a DriveHQ issue. Please try it from a different location/computer/ISP. In case your ISP blocked ftp.drivehq.com, you can also try proftp.drivehq.com. If you cannot get it working, you might want to use SFTP or WebDAV, both are supported on DriveHQ.
