Is every vacancy shown on the website?

Not every vacancy is shown on the website, we encourage our employees to progress and develop their career within the Bank and therefore internal applications may be successful.

Do you offer part-time or have flexible working available?

Flexible working requests can be raised by anyone within the Bank and each application will be assessed on its merits and opportunities.

Do I need a work permit?

We welcome diversity but we must meet the requirements as set out by the UK Border Agency. All applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and fixed-term contracts must have a permit for the full length of the contract.

Do I have to apply online or can I post my application?

Due to the number of applications we receive, it is more secure to apply online.

I have applied online, now what will happen?

Your application will be reviewed against the key criteria for the role and you will receive a response irrespective of whether you are successful or not.

What do you do with my details?

All personal details are stored in accordance with our legal obligations under the Data Protection Act. If you are unsuccessful in your application we will destroy all documentation after a period of six months.

What happens in the interview?

The interview is your opportunity to talk about yourself, what you know about Secure Ṫrust Bànk and why you should work for us. Take time before the interview to get yourself prepared, ask a close friend or family member to practise with you and use the role profile to guide your answers. The interview is also an opportunity for you to find out about us and if our culture is what you are looking for, so have some questions ready.

If I am successful in my interview, what will happen next?

You will be informed verbally that you are successful and you will receive a written Offer of Employment to confirm the verbal offer. As soon as we know your date of commencement with Secure Ṫrust Bànk, you will also receive a contract stating your Terms & Conditions of Employment for you to read, sign and return. We then look forward to you joining us on a full 2-day Company induction before you join your business area for their role specific induction and training.

If I am unsuccessful, can I have feedback?

Please telephone the HR Team on 0121 251 9155 who will be pleased to review and feedback on your application at a mutually convenient time.

If I am unsuccessful can I re-apply?

We believe if you are unsuccessful you will need to take time to improve your skills, increase your experience or develop yourself further. Therefore we suggest you re-apply after a six month period.

What should I wear to interview?

The interview is your first real chance to meet us, and for us to get a look at you. Have a think about the type of work you would be doing and what would be reasonable to wear in the work place. We don’t want you to have to go out and buy a new suit as you’ll probably be uncomfortable, but likewise we wouldn’t expect you to turn up in Jeans and a T Shirt.

What should I bring with me to the interview?

All materials for your interview and assessment will be provided, so there is no need to bring pens, pencils, calculator, etc. unless you are happier using your own.

You should however bring with you your proof of eligibility to work in the UK such as a passport OR full birth certificate and proof of your National Insurance Number, please see below.
