Pastor Sanusi
Pastor Bakar

24 May, Saturday - We gathered at church at 4 pm for our last rehearsal and prayer. We then set off at about 6 pm to Sg Pelek together with Pastor Sanusi. We went there through a route near Seremban 2. We arrived at about 7 pm at Pastor Bakar's home in Sg Pelek. We then went together with Pastor Bakar and Pastor Sanusi to a sea-food restaurant at Bagan Lalang which was located at a jetty near the sea. The service was very slow so we waited for quite a while for the food to be served.
We started dinner before sunset.
We ended dinner after sunset.

Actions for
'Yang ke janggut dan jubahnya turun'
Actions for
'Mengalir ke bukit Sion'
The service at Sg Pelek was in a member's church. The service started at about 8:45 pm with Pastor Bakar leading the worship. Bro Joo Tatt then read from Psalm 133 (Mazmur 133) about how good it is when brethren dwell together in unity. We then taught the song 'Mazmur 133' which was accompanied with dancing and actions. After singing once through, we invited all the congregation to join us together. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly especially the dancing - like folk dancing with arms linked together. There was much laughter and joy of the faces of everyone - exactly as the Psalm says that blessing comes upon us when we live in unity.

Mazmur 133

Sungguh alangkah baiknya,
Sungguh alangkah indahnya,
Bila saudara semua
Hidup rukun bersama.

Seperti minyak di kepala Harun
Yang ke janggut dan jubahnya turun,
Seperti embun di bukit Hermon
Mengalir ke bukit Sion.

Sebab ke sanalah Allah memrintah
Agar berkat-berkatNya tercurah,
Serta memberikan anugerah
Hidup slama-lamanya.

Sis Cynthia sharing her
touching testimony.
Sis Cynthia then shared a most touching testimony. She shared about how she experienced terrible poverty and utter emptiness in life filled with anger, resentment and bitter fights. She also shared how her husband once objected to her going to church. She then shared how one by one, her whole family came to know the Lord Jesus personally and life was filled with love, joy and peace. It was a life changed from the bitter darkness of this world to the marvellous light of our Lord Jesus Christ!

The prodigal son (Timothy) returns to the father (Peter).
The elder brother (Edwin) asking the servant (Michael)
about the celebration for his brother.

We then presented a drama based on the Prodigal Son taken from Luke 15:11-32:

  • The younger son (acted by Timothy) took his share of money and left his father's (acted by Peter) house.
  • Realizing his misery when he longed to fill his stomach with food for pigs, he went back to his father's house in repentance.
  • His father accepted him back and celebated his return.
  • Meanwhile, the elder brother (acted by Edwin) asked his servant (acted by Michael) what was the celebration all about.
  • The elder brother was jealous that his father would celebrate the return of his 'good-for-nothing' brother.
  • His father explained the reason for the celebration -
"... because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found."
Bro Joo Tatt shared a message based on the Prodigal Son on how our Heavenly Father awaits for each one of us to come back to him when we have gone astray. After the message, an altar call was given and the team ministered to the people who came out. We then had a wonderful supper bought by Sis Cynthia. At the same time, Sis Cynthia used her own blood pressure machine to give a free blood pressure check. When we reached home it was past 12:30 am!

Singing, 'Bergandingan tangan dalam kasih dalam satu hati'
(Joining our hands in love and in unity)
Singing with our heart,
'Kau sahabatku' (You are my friend).
Dancing to, 'Sungguh alangkah baiknya'
(How good it is)

25 May, Sunday - The team gathered at Agape, Seremban at 8 am. We reached Mantin town, opposite the Police Station at 9 am. Pastor Sanusi took his van and together with 2 cars went to Kampung Kedat. We arrived at 9:45 am. Sis Nani led in the praise and worship with lively action songs while Pastor Sanusi played the electric guitar.

Bro Joo Tatt read from Psalm 133 (Mazmur 133) about how good it is when brethren dwell together in unity. We then taught the song 'Mazmur 133' which was accompanied with dancing and actions. Sis Cynthia then shared her testimony. We then presented the drama based on the Prodigal Son.

The children were led outside the hall for a children's session led by the ladies in the team. The team taught the children 2 songs - Waktu Terbit Sang Suria (From the Rising of the Sun) and Yesus Cintaku (Jesus is the Vine). Sis Cynthia taught a lesson to the children about keeping our body healthy because it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The children were taught by Sis Cynthia about personal hygiene - brushing teeth and applying bandages.

Meanwhile, Bro Joo Tatt shared a message based on the Prodigal Son to the adults. He challenged the congregation to continue to pray for our family members just as Sis Cynthia continued to pray for the salvation of her family. There was an altar call during which team members ministered to those who came out.

We then had delicious lunch of nasi lemak and chicken nuggets and chicken murtabak which were bought by Sis Cynthia. Again Sis Cynthia gave a free blood pressure check to the villagers. By the time we reached back to Seremban, it was 2 pm.

Praise the Lord for a wonderful time of ministry, we were blessed by the people and we ministered to their needs.
