LendingRequests are received daily from other institutions through several sources: OCLC, DOCline, Kudzu, RAPID, Illiad, ALA forms, and ISO requests. The Lending staff processes these requests and looks up the corresponding call numbers and locations in the UT collections. Library Express then physically searches the materials and takes them to Digital Production Services for copying, updating, and scanning. Over 4500 requests annually that are submitted to ILS are passed on to Library Express to fill locally. Auburn University offers an InfoQuest service that is open to individuals with information needs from anywhere in the world. InfoQuest services "are offered as a non-profit fee based information delivery service and is not a profit-making venture." Their rates range from $10 for citation verification to $50 an hour for reference research. http://www.lib.auburn.edu/inforates.htm |
