NOTES: The 2010 regular season in the CDBL is complete! The Mashers lost their last game, and the Topeka Stingers won their last game, finishing the season tied for the #2 league wildcard with a 94-68 record. Beacuse the Stingers hold the tiebreaker (they defeated the Mashers 3 games to 1 in the regular season), the Stingers will be making the post-season. The Montreal Voltigeurs won the Aaron division, their first division title since moving to Montreal. The Brookeville Bandits won the Paige division, their first division title since moving to Brookeville. The Carlsbad Surfers won the Gehrig division, their first division title since 2006. And the Boston Bulldogs won the Tiant division, their first division title since 2006. The playoff brackets are as follows: Round 0 Matchup (Best of 3): (3) Topeka Stingers (94-68, #2 league wildcard) vs. (4) Half Moon Bay Dragons (103-59, #1 league wildcard) (HFA) Round 1 Matchup: (2) Montreal Voltigeurs (98-64, Aaron Division winner) (HFA) vs. (3) Madison Muckrakers (100-62, AP Conference Wildcard) Round 1 Matchup: (1) Brookeville Bandits (103-59, Paige Division winner) (HFA) vs. BYE Round 1 Matchup: (2) Carlsbad Surfers (98-64, Gehrig Division winner) (HFA) vs. (3) Alphaville Caution (105-57, GT Conference Wildcard) Round 1 Matchup: (1) Boston Bulldogs (113-49, Tiant Division Winner) (HFA) vs. Round 0 Winner The 95 loss club this year is as follows: POS. In records news, the cratering Pilots set a new league low in team batting average of .214, breaking the .220 mark held by 3 teams (last set in 1989). They also set a new hits low with 1168, breaking the record previously set in 1985. The White Rock Phantoms had a winning season, but it wasn't due to starting pitcher endurance, as they tied the low mark for complete games with 0. I will send playoff information out shortly. Thanks again for another great season!
