When anyone reaches that decisive moment at which they would push it, a
Never Been Born button appears obligingly on an adjoininng wall as if it
had always been there, clearly labelled, ready to hand. When pushed, in
a smooth reorganization of time and space the universe becomes one in which
they never existed.
All the best
people have opted out of our universe that way. We're what's left. That's
how it is the quality of the general populace is so low - because we're
the ones with low enough standards to remain here. That's why our world
can stand it the way it is.
