This metagallery of imagery, web links and resources is devoted to imagery and information relating to derangement of the senses: madness, dreams, intoxication, or mystic states. .Some related books and videos are at the Surreal World Bookstore.

Art by schizophrenics, and accounts of schizophrenic beliefs, are generally interesting. Click on the above image to go to searcher's outsider art quest links page...with links to many sites with galleries. [Folk art links, which do not imply derangement of the senses and thus seem to be a completely separate category of art, are perhaps even more common on this links page.]

Click the picture [by Bryan Smith, whose own site is well worth visiting in its own right] to go to the great Electric Dreams site, an enormous and fascinating resource featuring, among other things, the most extensive collection of dream accounts I'm aware of.
Yahoo has an excellent set of dream links. They include 23 dream journal and 11 lucid dreaming sites, as of 7/21/00. Lots to explore!

 bianca's Dream Book
is an interactive site, updated somewhat irregularly, where people post their dreams. It's been up for years now and is well worth an occasional visit.

Where possible each image in the galleries links to the artist's web site [which hosts the image] and within which may be found online galleries to the artist's work and if available access to purchase of original art, high quality prints, books, software, and/or information .If links to direct purchase of books by the artist are indicated on my page they are through amazon.com online. If I can't locate an appropriate official web site to link to/with, I represent the artist with a low-res  scan or image of the book cover.
