NOTES: The 2022 CFOD Regular Season is complete! The Droplets and Pirates have officially battled to a tie in the Koufax division and will end up sharing the title. This is Trisolaris' first division title since 2019 and the first since moving to Trisolaris. Pig's Eye gets their first Koufax division pennant since 2018. The Syndicate won their first Mantle division title since 2016, Olympia wins their first Ruth division title since 2011 and the first since moving to Olympia, and the Seattle Moshers win their first Young division title since 2014 and with 111 wins have the best record in the regular league for the first time in franchise history. Arlington clinches the #1 league wildcard by 1 game over the Cincinnati Rock, who will play a best-of-3 matchup in round 0. The Pirates will enter the playoffs officially as the top seed, with Trisolaris grabbing the MK Conference Wildcard due to the Pirates' 8-4 regular season record agains the Droplets. The playoff bracket: Round 0: Arlington Arthropods (93-69, #1 league wildcard) (HFA) vs. Cincinnati Rock (92-70, #2 league wildcard) Round 1: (1) Pig's Eye Pirates (98-64, Koufax Division Winner) (HFA) vs. (4) Round 0 Winner (2) Mechan Syndicate (96-66, Mantle Division Winner) (HFA) vs. (3) Trisolaris Droplets (98-64, MK Conf Wildcard) (2) Olympia Rainiers (99-63, Ruth Division Winner) (HFA) vs. (3) Dallas SuperSquad (93-69, RY Conf Wildcard) (1) Seattle Moshers (111-51, Young Division Winner) (HFA) vs. 1ST ROUND BYE The 95 loss club is fairly small this year, with just 4 teams qualifying. The top of the draft order next year will be headlined by the California Coneheads, picking #1 overall for the first time in franchise history: 1. California Coneheads (47-115)(Made playoffs in 2019) 2. Somerville Sluggers (60-102)(Made playoffs in 2020) 3. Port Huron Hubris (56-105)(Made playoffs in 2021) 4. Fightin' Oglethorpes of Georgia (64-98) (#1 pick in 2021) Finishing out of the playoffs at 91-71, the Lakeview Zeros will pick 5th overall. There were no individual records broken this year. In team records, the league-wide offense dampening allowed the San Francisco Organization to set a new team low in batting average (.206), breaking the 2021 Droplets record. Their 1119 hits are also a new low, again breaking the Droplets 2021 record. The Seattle Moshers, with their stellar defense, bevy of talented arms and lowered league offense set a new league record for team ERA with a 2.77 team mark, breaking California's 2017 record of 2.93. Topeka, Tualatin and Lakeview tied the low water mark for complete games with 0. I will be sending out playoff information shortly. Thanks again for another great season!
