Every year since 1998 I've been keeping track of team's "core ages", which I classify as their keeper list plus their 1st or 1st & 2nd round picks. Below is this year's edition, also showing the last 5 years worth of data. The Syndicate shaved a few years off of their core, jumping 18 spots to hold the youngest core at 26.6 years of age. Last year's youngest core, the Fightin' Oglethorpes, narrowly missed out on the youngest core, finishing in 2nd. The Piazza's and Organization still maintain their vet-heavy approach, sporting the two oldest cores in 2022. The Organization's 31.7 average core age is the highest average since the Piazza's sported a 32.6 average way back in 2005.
