2021 CFOD ALL-STAR GAME The 2021 CFOD All-Star game was held at Busch Stadium, home of the Arlington Arthropods, the team with the best record at the all-star break. The pitchers were out in force, throwing shutout inning after shutout inning. The MK all-stars made it interesting in the bottom of the 6th, loading the bases with 2 outs with Mechan's Brendan Lowe at the plate. San Mateo closer Aaron Bummer was brought on in relief and struck out Lowe to end the inning, score still tied at 0 through 6 innings. In the bottom of the 8th, Collin McHugh of the Rainiers was pitching with no score. Georgia 1B Pete Alonso hit a single. Port Huron outfielder Luis Robert singled, putting 2 runners on. Pinch hitter Carlos Correa of the Somerville Sluggers finally broke the deadlock, smacking a double to drive in Alonso to put the MK All-Stars up 1-0. McHugh threw a wild pitch, scoring Robert for a 2-0 ballgame. Kenley Jansen of the SuperSquad came on in relief and struck out Arlington hero Shohei Ohtani. Josh Hader of the MooseDogs then came on in relief, and gave up an RBI single to Ryan McMahon of the Syndicate. 3-0 MK All-Stars after 8 innings. In the top of the 9th, the MK All-Stars were 3 outs away from winning the 2021 CFOD All-Star game. Ryan Pressly of the Angry Candy was pitching for the MK All-Stars. First batter up, Corey Seager of the Rainiers, singled. Pinch hitter Andrew Benintendi of the Brouhaha grounded out, advancing Seager 90 feet. Blake Treinen of the Rock came on in relief and struck out Topeka 3B Austin Riley. With 2 outs, Chandler closer Emmanuel Clase came to the mound and got Topeka's Mitch Haniger to ground out. The MK All-Stars used a 3-run 8th inning to win the 2021 CFOD All-Star game by a score of 3-0. 2021 CFOD All-Star MVP: In a low scoring affair, it was Somervilles Carlos Correa's pinch hit RBI double
