Every year since 1998 I've been keeping track of team's "core ages", which I classify as their
keeper list plus their 1st or 1st & 2nd round picks. Below is this year's edition, also showing
the last 5 years worth of data.

The (still) rebuilding Pirates hold onto their youngest core age ranking, shedding another 0.8
years off their core. The Killers made the biggest jump in youth movement, jumping 10 spots
(from being an older team to being a middle aged team). Young Wander Franco helped out Georgia's
youth movement, jumping them to #2 in the rankings.

The Termites shed some veterans, knocking them under 30 for the first time in years. The Piazza's
and Organizaton continue to employ the vets, ranking 22nd and 24th, and Seattle has joined them at #23,
creeping above the 30 line this year. The Organizaton's 31.1 year core average is the highest since
the Termites put up a 31.6 average in 2016.
