NOTES: Despite trading away much of their talent during the season and putting some unconventional starters in their lineup in the last week of the season, the California Coneheads' unique method of team motivation worked out, winning their last game against the Termites. The Rock dropped their last game against the Walruses. Thus, the Coneheads back into the playoffs as the #2 league wildcard and the defending champions are out of the playoffs. The Pirates and Pitbulls tied for the league's best record. Should the Pirates and Pitbulls meet in the CFOD World Series, the Pirates would have home field advantage due to their 3-1 regular season record. The Pirates claimed their 3rd straight Koufax division title, while the Pitbulls win their first title since 2012. The Syndicate clinched the Mantle division, their 2nd straight title, while the Climbers won the Young division, also their 2nd straight title as well. The Lakeview Zeros enter the playoffs as the MK Conference wildcard, a stellar reversal from their 108 loss season a year ago. It was the best year ever for the Miami Mangos, entering the playoffs for the first time in franchise history as the RY Conference wildcard with a league best +236 run differential. The Brookfield Brouhaha enter the playoffs as the #1 league wildcard, their first post-season appearance since 2013, and the California Coneheads make the playoffs for the 4th time out of the last 5 season. Climbers starter Tyler Chatwood set a new record for ERA with 1.54, 0.04 less than Jordan Zimmerman's 2014 mark. That was the lone player record. The futility of the 95-loss club this year set numerous new team lows. The Rainier's .222 team batting average is a new infamous record, breaking Arlington's 2 year old record, as is their 1216 hits. Their .278 on base average breaks Tualatin's year old record. The Fightin' Oglethorpes of Georgia set a new league low in runs scored with 512, erasing a 21 year old record from the expansion era Zippys. The swing happy Pioneers set a new league low (high?) for team strikeouts by hitters with 1573, breaking Brookfield's 2 year old record. The Rainiers easily smashed the league record for fewest wins. Their 22 total was 15 fewer than the 11 year old Thunder record. Their 13 saves was the fewest since the Thunder's 17 in 2005. The Organization, Moshers, Termites and Rainiers all failed to have any starter pitch a complete game, and the Rainiers failed to pitch a shutout. Thanks again for another great season!
