Rodriguez captured 2/3'rds of the triple crown, finishing with a league best 60 home runs and 152 RBI. His 154 runs scored was tops in the majors as well. His .654 slugging average was 3rd best in the CFOD. His 19 stolen bases and only 3 caught stealing even helped Rodriguez finish with a 2nd in the league steal percentage of 86.4%. 2007 CFOD CY YOUNG AWARD -------------------------- 2nd runner up - Javier Vazquez, Missouri Mudfish Age ERA OPS W L S G GS CG SHO INN H R ER BB K HR GDP 30 3.02 .633 21 7 0 37 37 3 1 244.2 198 84 82 52 245 26 14 Vazquez was an ace for the pennant winning Mudfish, winning 21 games. His 23-1 record speaks for itself. His OPS against and ERA were not bad either, both being 5th best in the league for starters with 200 or more innings. Escobar knew how to throw the quality starts as well. His 75% quality start percentage was 3rd best in the league. 2007 CFOD FIREMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD ------------------------- 2nd runner up - Takashi Saito, California Coneheads Age ERA OPS W L S G GS CG SHO INN H R ER BB K HR GDP 37 0.73 .475 4 2 31 62 0 0 0 74.1 49 11 6 12 81 2 9 Saito got the job done for the Coneheads, finishing with the best ERA (0.73) among all players with 40 IP or better, and the 2nd best OPS. His save percentage was 2nd best in the league, and his 31 saves were tied for 5th best. Putz's 1.27 ERA was 2nd best among relievers with 40 or more innings pitched, and his OPS against was best in the majors, as was his league leading 39 saves and 95.1% save percentage.
