Zambrano was a workhorse, leading the league in innings pitched with 255 1/3. His 9.8 runners per 9 innings was 2nd best in the league. His .727 quality start percentage was 3rd best in the league. His ERA of 0.66 was best among closers, and saved a league high 43 games. His 9th inning presence helped Hillsborough to a 31-18 record in 1 run games (best in the league) and a Koufax division pennant.
