Every year since 1998 I've been keeping track of team's "core ages", which I classify as their keeper list plus their 1st or 1st & 2nd round picks. The rebuilding Hillsborough Regulators shaved nearly 4 years off their average age to place them at the league's youngest team. Arizona's retooling efforts have shown similar reduction in age. The Shriners, Piazza's and Termites have remained at the bottom of the list for the past several years. But thanks to modern "medicine", today's 38 year old athletes can compete just as well as those 22 year old whippersnappers.
