Due to only 3 teams making the playoffs in the MK conference, the Angry Candy get a bye to the conference finals. This year marked the first year ever that the Topeka MooseDogs made the playoffs. This was also the first pennant ever for the Park City Climbers and Boston Brewins. Somerville overcame a last place prediction to clinch the MK conference wildcard. Despite being well out of contention at mid-season, the Moshers had a stellar 2nd half to give them the #2 league wildcard. The Angry Candy win their 5th pennant in 6 years, make their 6th straight playoff appearance, and break the California Conehead's record for largest pennant margin of victory, putting 31 games between them and 2nd place Mechan. Speaking of the Coneheads, they have qualified for the playoffs for the 13th straight year. The Pitbulls captured their 2nd pennant in 3 years. Only one record was broken this year. The Oregon Wet Sox set a new innings pitched record with 1497 innings this year. The Sacramento Fish and San Diego Termites finished in a tie for the worst season record. Since the Termites defeated the Fish 5-4 in regular season play, this means the Fish have the #1 overall pick for next year. The Piazza's and RamJets join the 95 loss club, which means that the Oregon Wet Sox can console themselves with the 5th overall pick in next year's draft.
