1996 CDBL ALL-STAR GAME 1996's all-star game definitely belonged to the hitters. With the game 2-0 in the Gehrig-Tiant all-stars favor, the Aaron-Paige all stars loaded the bases with 0 outs in the bottom of the first. Manhatten Beach's Mark McGwire took Pedro Martinez of the Cavaliers deep. Grand slam home run, and the AP all-stars were up 4-2. The GT all-stars were not done, tying it up in the 2nd with a 2-run home run by Birmingham's Terry Steinbach, and blowing it open in the third with a 7 run inning, highlighted by a 3-run home run by Todd Hundley. Both teams would continue to manufacture runs, but in the end it would be the GT all-stars in the 14-10 shootout victory. 1996 CDBL ALL-STAR MVP: Todd Hundley of the Hong Kong Cavaliers went 3 for 5
