1993 ALL-STAR GAME The 1993 All-Star game was held at Royals Stadium, home of the Tualatin Thunder, the team with the best record at the break. The AP all-stars had all the talent on paper .. and that translated into the AP all-stars dominating over the GT all-stars. Barry Bonds started things off in the bottom of the first with an RBI double, scoring Jay Bell of Dewey Beach. That was all they really needed, as the AP pitchers threw a shutout. The AP all-stars went on to win by a score of 4-0. ALL-STAR MVP: It really belongs to the whole AP all-star pitching staff, but the MVP award this year goes to Manhatten Beach Masher ace Tom Candiotti, who pitched 2 shutout innings, giving up 2 hits
