With Albuquerque, he was listless. He put up OK raw numbers (7 wins, 14 saves), but his ERA was north of 4. In a late season trade, Olson found himself closing for the Bulldogs, who were fighting for the Tiant division pennant. With his new team, Olson turned into super-closer, failing to give up a run in 16 appearances, saving 14 of those and winning the other 2. With his combined stats, Olson wound up saving 28 games and won 9 for his 2 teams. Olson's short work with the Bulldogs helped shape the pennant race for that division, and is the reason Olson gets the nod for 1992 Fireman of the Year.
