Canseco finished 2nd in slugging percentage, 2nd in RBI, and 2nd in runs. It wasn't until the end of the season that the Minutemen knew that they were in the playoffs. At one point early on, the Riders had the worst record in the league. Then, a spark was lit, to the point where they entered playoff contention and even led their division at one point late in the season before cooling off and missing the playoffs.
