NOTES: The 2004 CDBL regular season is complete! The Concord Minutemen and Hong Kong Cavaliers tied for the 2 league wildcards. Since Hong Kong won the season series 7 games to 5, they will host the 1 game round 0 playoff between the two teams. Tualatin and Boston will enter the playoffs as conference wildcards. Dallas wins their first Aaron division pennant in their new city, and first franchise title since 1999. Springfield wins their 3rd straight Paige division pennant and 4th in 5 years. Anchorage wins their 2nd Gehrig divison pennant in 3 years, while Avila won their first Tiant division title since 1998. Playoff seedings: (1) Springfield Isotopes (109-53, Paige division winner) vs. BYE (2) Dallas SuperSquad (94-68, Aaron divison winner, HFA) vs. (3) Tualatin Thunder (94-68, AP Conference Wildcard) (2) Anchorage Gold Diggers (97-65, Gehrig division winner, HFA) vs. (3) Boston Bulldogs (96-66, GT Conference Wildcard) (1) Avila Dragons (104-58, Tiant division winner, HFA) vs. Round 0 winner Round 0: Hong Kong Cavaliers (93-69, #1 league wilcdard, HFA) vs. Concord Minutemen (93-69, #2 league wildcard) In the 95 loss club this year are the Seattle Decaf, Bangor Blue Lobsters, Point Lomas Friars, DBL Fishbiscuits, Dedham Destroyers and Madison Muckrakers. The draft standings at the top for 2005 will be: 1. Madison Muckrakers (48-114, Last made playoffs in 2000, wins tiebreaker due to more losses in 2004) 2. Bangor Blue Lobsters (66-96, Last made playoffs in 2000) 3. Point Lomas Friars (64-98, Last made playoffs in 2001) 4. DBL Fishbiscuits (63-99, Last made playoffs in 2002) 5. Dedham Destroyers (59-103, Last made playoffs in 2003) 6. Seattle Decaf (66-96, #1 overall pick in 2004) Having just missed out on the playoffs, the 2003 champion Pilots will draft 7th. In the records department, 3-true outcomes slugger Adam Dunn set a new record for strikeouts with 226. The Decaf tied a team low in complete games with 1 (shared by 6 other teams). And that was it! Thanks to all for another great season. I'll send out playoff information shortly.
