Both Manhatten Beach and California made tweaks for their final game, and the Mashers won their last game and the Kamados lost, making both teams co-champions of the Aaron division. Manhatten Beach won the season series 8 games to 4, and have a league-high 106 victories, so they'll enter the playoffs as the #1 seed in the AP conference with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. It is their first pennant since 1996. For California this is their 3rd pennant in 5 years and enter the playoffs as the AP Conference wildcard. Springfield wins their 2nd pennant in 3 years, and their 7th since 1992. DBL enters the playoffs as the #1 league wildcard and a chance to defend their 2001 title (and with the Kamados being the 1998 and 1999 champs, and Springfield being the 2000 champs it is a veritable tournament of champions for the AP conference). Anchorage and Boston both won their first division titles since 1993. The Cautions enter as the GT Conference wildcard, and the Avila Dragons enter as the #2 league wildcard. Jose Hernandez of the Surfers broke Bo Jackson's 1989 record for most strikeouts by 2 with 215 in total. On the team record front, Coors Field played a number on the Dragons pitching staff, stamina, as they failed to record a single complete game, tying the record set by numerous other teams.
