You must have published a folder for anonymous access. Anonymous access is always read-only. To publish a folder, you need to be a True member or a paid member. If a folder is published, you can access it (and the files in it) using the Publish URLs.
From FTP, you can access them with the following style URLs:
ftp://ftp.drivehq.com/USERNAME/PUBLISHNAME/FILEPATH
or something.

All fine, hoping to expand my usage, this question came out of a small freeware utility on DonationCoder, AutoFTP, that is for uploads (only) by command-line, or, nicely Windows icon/shortcut, or the Windows Scheduler.
When using FTP for upload / download, please make sure you always use Passive FTP; Active FTP is always blocked by your firewall or router. Microsoft Windows command-line FTP doesn't support Passive FTP, so it cannot be used unless you connect without a firewall / router.
Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer can both be used as a simple FTP client, just enter the address:
ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.drivehq.com/
Since the upload is what is forgotten in the rush to get up and go (downloads are more leisurely, since you are still there) the limited utility makes some sense, although as noted elsewhere Syncback freeware seems to be also nice for this purpose. Anyway the ease of use of a very small utility and an icon makes sense for a limited folder to folder upload. However, the main gap in the AutoFTP (not the only program with the name) utility is that he doesn't check for date stamp, making for an unnecessary overwrite on the scheduling mode. However on a small file once a day, or if you are using an Icon with a shortcut instead, this can be not a concern.
